My poem, ‘Forst’,
appears as part of the Moving Minds exhibition at Oriel Sycharth gallery at
Glyndŵr University, Wrexham.
From the
official blurb, curated by Mike Corcoran, Moving Minds is, “an exploration of
the mind and its relationship with the brain, body and world: through art,
media and performance.”
I went
down to have a look at the gallery yesterday, and it’s a real gem: packed full
of surprising installation pieces, artefacts, photographs, poems, sculptures
and other works which span or blur the boundaries between genres, forms and
mediums. The most impressive thing about it, though, is how all the works hang together around that theme of the
mind and its extensions into the physical realm. Top marks to Mike for curating
such a thought-provoking and beautiful collection of artworks.
Moving
Minds runs at Oriel Sycharth until the 15th April.
